Loft and Attic Insulation Kilkenny
Up to a quarter of all the heat in a poorly insulated home escapes directly through the roof, which makes attic insulation one of the most straightforward and cost effective ways to make a property in Kilkenny warmer and more affordable to heat.
A properly insulated attic keeps that warmth exactly where it should be, within your living space, and the savings on your heating bills will typically cover the cost of the work many times over throughout the lifespan of the insulation.
When we insulate an attic in Kilkenny we begin by assessing the space, clearing it where necessary and checking for any existing damp or ventilation concerns. We then install a generous depth of mineral wool insulation between the ceiling joists, followed by a second layer across the top of them, to eliminate cold bridging and achieve the recommended depth. Where the loft is intended for storage or use as a room, we fit rigid insulation boards to suit.
We always take care to maintain adequate ventilation at the eaves and to insulate the loft hatch along with any pipework or water tanks, so that the entire roof space performs as it should.
Alongside our attic insulation services, we also offer options for cavity block walling insulation in Kilkenny, cavity wall extraction and much more.
It is clean, efficient work that typically makes an immediate and noticeable difference to the comfort of your home.
